W artykule opisano badania zasięgu widoczności radarowej i śledzenia małych jachtów żaglowych bez reflektorów radarowych i wyposażonych w różne typy biernych reflektorów radarowych aktualnie dostępnych na polskim rynku, przez statkowe urządzenia radarowe pasm S i X z antenami zainstalowanymi na różnych wysokościach oraz urządzenia radarowe służby VTS. Rejestrowano parametry śledzenia jachtów przez radary pracujące w paśmie S i X. Pomiary przeprowadzono na akwenie Zatoki Gdańskiej w latach 2004 i 2005.

The maximum radar range of visibility and tracking different types of small sailing yachts was provided. The marine radar different types with scanner on different high were used. The VTS Gulf of Gdańsk was used too. In first step of experiment was observed two types of yachts accessible radar corners and without them. In the second step the yacht tracking parameters was registered and compared by radar working in S and X band. The investigation was made on Gulf of Gdańsk in 2004 and 2005.
