Biomass is valuable renevable source of energy. Biomass used as source of energy is acquired from long-term plants for example: Miscanthus giganteus and Sida hermaphrodita. These plants are more and more popular. The important energetic parameters are not only crops and energy value but also ashes amount which leave after biomass burning.Additionally contentration of heavy metals in ashes can allow or forbid use its for fertilize the soils. In this paper are shown research concerning on the influence of fertilization on the amount of ashes and content of heavy metals in ashes of Miscanthus giganteus and Sida .The soil was fertilized as follows : muncipal sewage, compost and mineral fertilizer. An ashes amounts depended on kind of fertilizer and plant wer ranged from 2,2 to 5,2%.Similarly Cd, Pb, Zn, Ni concentration in ashes was strongly dependent on used fertilizer which reflected the amount of heavy metals in soil and plants biomass. It was noticed diffrent amount of ashes and content of heavy metals in dependence on tested plant.
