Przenośniki zgrzebłowe i taśmowe są specyficznymi maszynami roboczymi, ponieważ często stosowane są w nich liczne jednostki napędowe. Dużym problemem jest synchronizacja pracy napędów w czasie realizacji rozruchu, pracy ustalonej i hamowania.

Belt and chain conveyors are the specific machines as they use several drives to drive them. Synchronization of the drives operation during the start up, stable operation and breaking is the great problem. Now few standard drive systems, based on the mechanical and electrotechnical solutions, are used. Each of the drive has advantages and disadvantages when compared to each other. These problems were presented in the paper. New solution of the drive unit controlled by the multi-disc clutch was also presented.
