Heavy metal pollution in the surroundings of the power plant in Kozienice

Abstrakty
Przedstawiono wyniki oznaczeń wybranych metali ciężkich (Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, Ni, Cr, Mn i Fe) w pyłach opadających na wybrane tereny położone wokół elektrowni w Kozienicach, stężel1 tych metali w glebach i mniszku lekarskim zebranych w miejscach emisji pyłów. Badania prowadzono w okresie VII 96-VII 97. Oznaczenia metali wykonano techniką AAS. Wyniki, które uzyskano wskazują, że spośród trzech punktów pomiarowych (Dęblin, Maciejowice, Trojanów) najbardziej na działanie elektrowni jest narażony Dęblin. Jednak w żadnym z punktów poboru prób nie odnotowano przekroczeń NOS opadu pyłów, Pb i Cd. Zawartości metali w mniszku lekarskim mieszczą się w zakresie stężeli proponowanych w literaturze jako tło Podwyższone zawartości Pb, Cd i Zn w glebie w Dęblinie oraz Cd w glebie w Maciejowicach i Trojanowie mogą być wynikiem skażeń wcześniejszych. Wyniki badali wskazują, że aktualnie elektrownia w Kozienicach nie stwarza zagrożenia dla środowiska od strony metali ciężkich.
The results of selected heavy metals determination (sluh as Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, Ni, Mn and Fe) in dust falling in chosen areas in the surroundings of the power plant in Kozienice have been presented. Also the concentrations of these metal s in soil dandelions (Taraxacum officiale), picked up in areas of the dust emission have been given. The studies were carried out in the period of one year horn July 1996 to July 1997. The concentrations of these metal s were measured using AAS technique. The results show that among three measurement points (Dęblin, Maciejowice, Trajanów) the most affected by the power plant impact is Dęblin. However in none of the points the excessive levels of the MPC of the fallen dust, Pb and Cd were noticed. The levels of metal concentrations in dandelion ren1ain within the range proposed in literature as natural background. Elevated level of Pb, Cd and Zn content in the soil in Dęblin and Cd in the soil in Maciejowice and Trajanów might be an effect of same previous pollution. The results of the studies show that at the moment the power plant in Kozienice does not impose any threat to the environment in the context of heavy metal emission.
