Measurement of dispersivity and moisture content in experimental turbines by optical methods

The issue of using optical methods for measurements of moisture drops sizing and their concentration in a zone of steam flow condensation are set forth in this paper. A practical applications of optical indicatrice, spectral transparency, and "narrow angles" methods are shown. Main principles of probe construction to investigate two-phase medium are outlined. Practical results of investigations performed on experimental stands and a full-scale turbine are given.
