Abstrakty
The purpose of the investigations performed was to determine the system for classification of solid fuels taking into account the range of operation of a pulverized fuel burner with the index characterizing combustion property. The four solid fuels (bituminous coal, lignite, wood dust and carbonaceous shale) used in the experiment were ranked, taking into account the range of stable operation of the PAPCB (Plasma Assisted Pulverized Coal Burner). Different criteria were discussed to explain the experimentally established ranking and the best criterion appeared to be the coefficient ... resulting from the "cubic" law of dust explosibility. The obtained results of measurements were explained considering the relationship between pressure rise of dust explosion and flame propagation speed.
