Stabilisation of pulverized coal burning with plasma assist is investigating wit a 10 kW plasma torch in the burner of the cyclone type. Successful operation of plasma assisted pulverized coal burner was achieved on bituminous coal and lignite. The process of pulverized coal firing in the cyclone burner with plasma assist was analysed mathematically in frame of the CSTR theory.
