Abstrakty
Reduction of NOx emmision from an industrial burner in a heating furnace is required. To support a development of the high-performance (low-emission) burner, laser diagnostics, such as Laser-induced Fluorescence (LIF) and Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV), have been developed. This technique was applied for a flame of a 230 kW industrial burner in an industrial-scale furnace to analyze the NOx formation. Distribution of the NOx formation rate in a flame cross section was calculated using experimental results of the NOx concentration, temperature and the gas flow distribution. Furthermore, the ratio of the prompt NO and thermal NO formation was estimated using the results of the CH and OH concentration distribution.
