Abstrakty
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki symulacji wzmacniania promieniowania laserowego o długości fali 1550 nm w światłowodach domieszkowanych jonami erbu oraz zjawisk im towarzyszących.
We report on the modelling results and experimental data of amplifying "eye-safe" (λ= 1.5 µm) laser radiation in a single erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA). Numerical simulations were done in order to show basic aspects of optimization of the fiber amplifier system. Furthermore, problems of nonlinearities mostly occurring in fiber amplifiers were discussed in the paper. Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) and Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS ) thresholds were calculated for the analyzed EDFA system.
