Na podstawie najnowszej literatury, omówiono właściwości elektryczne, optyczne, magnetyczne, mechaniczne i elektrochemiczne, metody otrzymywania oraz zastosowania polimerów elektroprzewodzących do budowy elementów elektronicznych, optoelektronicznych takich jak miniaturowe rezystory, kondensatory, diody, tranzystory, fotodiody, fototranzystory, lasery, światłowody oraz układów elektronicznych, w tym czujników i bioczujników wybranych wielkości chemicznych i biochemicznych, a także mikrosystemów do całościowej analizy biochemicznej (µTAS, lab-on-a-chip).

Basing on recent publications, electrical, optical, magnetic, mechanical and electrochemical properties of conducting polymers, methods of their polymerization and doping, as well as their applications for manufacturing of resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, lasers, optical fibers, and sensors and biosensors of selected chemical and biochemical species, and biochemical micro total analysis systems (µTAS, lab-on-a-chip) are reviewed in the paper.
