The article describes the works performed in Łódź by the Consortium of three companies: INFRA Sp. z o.o., PBG SA, Hydrobudowa Włocławek SA (three companies of the z PBG business interests) and WIERTMAR s.j. The grand modernization project is called "Waterworks and Water Treatment Plant in Łódź II" and the part presently underway is called "The modernization of sewage and water distribution system of the city of Łódź" and its record value exceeds 44 million Euro. As part of the assignment the following goals are to be completed: renovation of rain and sewage network with manholes and waterworks system. What makes the project unusually difficult is the fact that the site is located in the centre of the busy city in densely urbanized area with very heavy traffic of both cars and trams.
