The WIR company was established in 1999. Ever since inception the objective of the company has been to provide technical solutions to efficiently rehabilitate old sewers. The solutions are based on the short pipe modules manufactured by WIR. Currently the company offers a sewer renovation system using the shortlining technique and a trenchless method to replace sewers by cracking the old pipelines (static size-for-size pipe bursting). Together with contractors we will develop systems for trenchless installation of new sewers. This paper is a brief presentation of the Shortlining WIR renovation system.
