W artykule zaprezentowano efektywną metodę kompresji obrazów wykorzystującą technikę mieszania predykcyjnego i adaptacyjny wielokontekstowy koder arytmetyczny. Dokonano szczegółowej analizy proponowanego rozwiązania Blend-V w trybie prawie bezstratnym, porównując z wydajnością JPEG2000 dla różnych średnich bitowych. także porównania proponowanej metody z innymi rozwiązaniami znanymi z literatury.

In the paper, it is presented an effective image compression method based on a blending prediction technique and an adaptive, multi-context arithmetic encoder. A detailed analysis of the presented method, Blend-V, is provided and there is also made a comparison of the proposed encoder in a near-lossless mode with JPEG2000 for various bit . Pros and cons of the proposed method with respect to solutions known from literature are also described.
