The paper present a time domain reflectometry module designed as a part of an analyzer of DLS transmission lines. Small size, programmable TDR module (to be included in the hand-belt, battery-operated line analyzer) was designed, constructed and tested in the laboratory, proving its usefulness for detecting lines imperfections. The paper illustrates the principle of operation of the TDR units, its basic building blocks and the software environment created for device testing.
