In the paper the amended mining regulations on the assessment criteria of zones protecting against coal dust explosion were discussed. The influence of basic factors neutralising coal dust on degree of its explosibility and the reasons for changing the basic concepts characterising coal dust explosion hazard were described. The possibility of applying checking criterion of protecting zone performed by stone dusting was discussed. The reasons for changing the […] formula giving a free water content that preventscoal dust explosion propagation were shown. Then an analysis of coal dust explosion hazard based on differences of results of minimum water content necessary to prevent coal dust explosion, estimated with use of the old and the new formula was performed. The influence of the changes in mining regulations on safety in work in the area of coal dust explosion hazard was assessed.

W artykule omówiono znowelizowane przepisy górnicze dotyczące kryteriów oceny stref zabezpieczających przed wybuchem pyły węglowego. Scharakteryzowano wpływ podstawowych czynników neutralizujących pył węglowy na stopień jego wybuchowości oraz przyczyny zmiany brzmienia podstawowych pojęć charakteryzujących stan zagrożenia wybuchem pyłu węglowego. Odniesiono się do możliwości stosowania kryteriów kontroli skuteczności stref zabezpieczających wykonywanych przez opylanie pyłem kamiennym. Przedstawiono powody zmiany formuły wzoru […] określającego zawartość wody przemijającej uniemożliwiającej przeniesienie wybuchu pyłu węglowego na nową, a następnie dokonano analizy kształtowania się stanu zagrożenia wybuchem pyłu węglowego w oparciu o różnice wyników obliczeń minimalnej zawartości wody niezbędnej do zabezpieczenia pyłu węglowego przed wybuchem według omawianych formuł. Dokonano oceny wpływu przedstawionych zmian w przepisach górniczych na stopień bezpieczeństwa pracy w obszarze zagrożenia wybuchem pyłu węglowego.
