Opracowanie zawiera analizę teoretyczną, wyniki pomiarów i metody optymalizacji szerokopasmowego transformatora kierunkowego. Przedstawiono cztery możliwe konfiguracje transformatora, oraz zbadano wpływy takich czynników jak: przenikalność początkowa, rezystancja balastowa, pojemności międzyzwojowe i montażowe. Do badań posłużono się transformatorem symetrycznym 1O-decybelowym.

Object of present elaboration is complex analysis of the symmetrical directional transformer (directional coupler). Such transformers universally practical are in devices of cable television (CATV), most often in taps. Executed they are on base of little, line 7 x 3.5 mm ferrite cores of double holes, on which wound are windings of the transformer. Examined transformer can exist in four configurations named here: basic, inverse, basic with zero resistor and inverse with zero resistor. Work contains theoretical analysis and results of measurements and calculations of parameters of the transformer like: insertion losses of main and coupled line, isolation of output and tap and return losses on input, output and tap in function of frequency in range 5-1000 MHz. In work examined influence of initial permeability (in range 100-10000), on parameters of the transformer, and such factors as ballast-resistor, zero-resistor considering of obtainment of optimum parameters and its influence on winding and assembly capability of the transformer and its parameters for high frequencies. Besides one examined possibilities of use of corrective arrangements having in view improvement of parameters of the transformer for low and high frequencies. One introduced also effects of such optimization for possible configuration of the transformer. Taking into account optimization and influences of ballast and zero resistors one examined courses parameters of the transformer for its extreme frequencies of work: 5 and 862 MHz. General analysis of the transformer passed in regard on broadband its use, but results of researches can also be use for more particular arrangements. Work addressed is mostly to constructors and has in view help in projecting of arrangements taps. To researches used 10-dB symmetrical transformer with use of cores of initial permeability 1400 and 2500 produced by Taiwan.
