The Use of Vibroacoustic Diagnosis in the Evaluation of the Condition of a Power Transmission System's Elements

This paper addresses the issue of diagnosing the disturbance in the mating of kinematic nodes of drives based on observation and modelling of the modulation phenomenon. As an example we present the problem of detection of the axial play in a helicar gear. While pointing to the fact that such an erroe may have an impact on the change of booth dynamic and kinematic conditions of contact, we present the results of our examination of the disturbance of rigidity of meshing and sliding velocity during the contact of a pair of toothed wheels.
