During implementation of heavy investments such as highway engineering A4 in a stretch Jarosław "Road junction Wierzbna" (without a road junction) – "Radymno" (with a road junction) 25 kilometres long, the excavations to road embankments ratio, or so-called earthen mass balance, is factor determining the character of all project. The state when this balance is upset in the one or second side is very unfavourable for building contractor. It should purchase and bring a considerable quantity of material needful for embankment construction on an investment area in the case of occurrence of many embankments, and if the need arises to carry out many excavations it's necessary to acquire a place beyond the investment area to dispose a surplus of excavated material.
