So far, only one 23-km underground line with 21 stations has been constructed in Warsaw. The underground rail stretches from Młociny to Kabaty and is used every day by approximately 500 thousand people. A second 6.3-km line from Daszyński Roundabout to Wilenski Station is currently under onstruction. This is one of the most important investments in the capital, which will surely improve communication in the city. The twin tunnels will be drilled by four TBM shields, and the works are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.
