Artykuł ten powstał po ponad dziesięcioletniej obserwacji brzegów morskich. Obserwując wielkość zniszczeń plaż, szczególnie w rejonie Kołobrzegu oraz małą skuteczność budowli ochronnych w tym rejonie, opracowałem projekt nazwany FALOCHRON-KOMPLEKS. Projekt ten przewiduje budowę konstrukcji równoległych do brzegu, opartych o koncepcję progów podwodnych i falochronów brzegowych.

This paper was constructed following more than 10 years of observations of sea banks. While observing the extent of destruction to the beaches, in particular in Kołobrzeg area, as well as the low efficiency of protection facilities there, the author developed the project named FALOCHRON-KOMPLEKS (BREAKWATER COMPLEX). This project anticipates the construction of facilities parallel to the sea bank, based upon the concept of underwater cataracts and sea bank breakwaters. The sea bank protection system proposed comprehensively protects the sea banks through constructing the two items in the form of BET-CHRON-0, protecting the bank line, and BET-CHRON-1, with underwater cataract character, forcing the refraction of sea waves at the specified distance and the gradual reduction of the depth of the bank zone found between this item and the bank line. The solution proposed may initially be applied along the small section of the bank line, simply acting as an experiment in the scale 1:1. Even if such measures do not come off, the situation on the bank will not deteriorate further, while the data acquired in the course of monitoring of the facility completed would undoubtedly constitute an interesting material both for engineers- -practitioners and scientists.
