Modern product design process is a highly complex fluxion process of information and knowledge. Therefore, research on how to develop a decision support system being capable of integrating distributed and heterogeneous knowledge would attribute significantly to product development. This paper proposes a product design knowledge supply chain based on view of characteristics of design knowledge. With design repository as it's hardcore, the architecture of integrate product design decision support system is identified. It then sheds more lights on how developing a suitable product design decision support system in web environment according to every participant's requirement during the whole design process. The corresponding modules of such a system are outlined. By integrating different knowledge system, designer not only take advantage of product information and design experience knowledge accumulated in the past, but also can design creative product by utilizing various kinds of computer aided decision system. A primary decision support system of human - machine incorporate optimization for flexible assembly system has been implemented as an example. The whole optimal decision support system can integrate the intelligence of design examples, experts, designer and computer, and it also can support designer utilize the all knowledge resource to design.
