Photonic detectors in nonequilibrium conditions

The paper presents a numerical analysish of photoelectric parameters of detectors employing nonequilibrium effects. We have determined optimum thicknesses as well as the kind and level of doping of a (Hg,Cd)Te magnetoexclusion (Electromagnetic Carriers Depletion - EMCD) detector operating at room temperature (T = 300K) for λ = 10.6 µm at he admissible dissipated power density of 5 W/mm². The detectivity of the magnetoexclusion detectors is compared with those of (Hg,Cd)Te homo- and heterojunction photodiodes operating at temperatures above 200 K.
