Abstrakty
The paper presents a CMOS voltage follwer that can operate with extremaly low supply voltages. For its proper operation it suffices that the supply voltages is higher by a few percent than the sum of thresholdvoltages (absolute values) of the NMOS and PMOS transistors used. DC currents biasing the follower may also be very low power consumption. The follower consists of a transconductor and asimple, double-transistor CMOS inverter, know from digital electronics.In order to reduce output resistance of the follower, a negative feedback has been applied.Gain of it can be designed to be very close to unity and its transfer function exhibits a good linearity.Thecan be designed to be very close to unity and its transfer function exhibits a good linearity. The follower input and output voltages can be varied almost from rail to rail. Small signal analytical descriptionand stability considerations are presente. SPICE simulation result are show to be in a good agreement with the theoretical predictions.
