Magnetic properties of annealed Co-based amorphous alloys

Static hysteresis loop, the initial magnetic susceptibility, χ, and its dependence on time for Vitrovac 6025X samples in the as-quenched state and after annealing at 693 K and 713 K were measured. A distinct improvement of soft static hysteresis loop parameters after both heat treatments is observed. A distinct improvement of soft static hysteresis loop parameters after both heat treatmens is observed. After the first heat treatment the sample exhibits χ= 31 000 and a disaccommodation of 4.2% and after the second heat treatment χ=8300 and the accommodation of 3.6%. These effects are attributed to the nanocrystallization during annealing. Iron atoms are not present in the crystalline phases but remain in the amorphous matrix increasing the main value of the hyperfine induction.
