The stress and strain analysis of interference connection between outer track of cone bearing and the casing is carried out in this study. The equilibrium equations for axially symmetric state of stresses and strains in rotary solids are derived. For further analysis the simplified 2-D model is used and the outer track of cone bearing is divided into elements - each one of constant diameter. The Lame's equation is used for each segment in order to conduct the stress and strain analysis. The obtained results are compared with those obtained with the use of the finite element method (Ansys system) applied for the 3-D model. In both cases the calculations were executed for maximum and minimum interference calculated from assumed dimensional deviations of the diameters of the bearing track and the casing.
