Dynamics of a Single Bucket Excavator During the Rotation of the Body with Regard to Flexibility of a Soil Foundation

In the paper the dynamics of a spatial model of a single bucket excavator on a caterpillar chassis with regard to the deformation of the foundation has been considered. It has been assumed that the excavator is operating on a soil foundation the model of which is an elastic-plastic Kelvin-Voight body, transmitting loads distributed over the surface of interaction of the caterpillar with the soil. The excavator is treated as a system of appropriately connected solid bodies, in which the particular masses correspond to the basic components of the excavator under consideration. Second order Lagrange equations have been used for dynamic description. The generalized coordinated assumed allow the dynamic analysis of the excavator to be made during soil mining, for any position of the extension arm and any combination of movements of the equipment during the chassis rotation. The system of differential equations obtained has been solved numerically using the Turbo Pascal program for numerical data corresponding to a caterpillar excavator with a single-bucket of a capacity of 1.2 m3. The results are shown in the diagrams.
