In the paper, vibrations of a toothed gear supported on journal bearings are investigated. Two cases are considered. In the first case, the pre-resonant range is studied, which corresponds to constant loading of the gear system. In the second one, the meshing force has exactly the resonant character. Appropriate relationships and diagrams are presented.
