The paper presents the concept of using radar for the inland navigation. In the concept mentioned, radar is used to fix the position of a vessel. The vessel is localized based on elements of the outside environment visible on the radar screen. To this end, the outline of the coastline is used. The concept assumes the automation of all calculations made to fix position of the vessel.

Artykuł przedstawia koncepcje wykorzystania radaru do prowadzenia nawigacji podczas przejścia korytem rzeki. Radar wykorzystywany jest do wyznaczania pozycji. Jednostka śródlądowa lokalizowana jest na podstawie obserwowanych elementów środowiska widocznych na ekranie radaru. Do tego celu wykorzystywany jest zarys linii brzegowej. Koncepcja zakłada automatyzacje powyższych elementów.
