This paper is about the support of small and medium entreprises and its influence on the development of the region in the Czech Republic. The data is based on the information form the years 2005-2006. The most important question is, if this support is important and brings macroeconomics effects. The SME sector plays a very important role in the proces of overcoming the social suspension caused by the relatively quick transfer of some industrial programmes into the countries with a lower wages cost. There is a relatively well organized system of support of small and medium entreprises in the Czech Republic and this article describes it briefly. It was proved that this suport has the concrete consequences for the development of the regions and it is necessary to continue it.
