This paper examines two different perspectives on technology transfer. In narrow sense technology transfer does not imply diffusion. Diffusion means opportunities for indigenous firms to achieve higher levels of efficiency by imitating foreign technology. The most important issues of this subject are determinants of the impact of absorptive capacity on the technological development domestic firms.
