The matter of the electronic signature has become very popular lately, and a lo: of information on this subject was given in the media. The author of this article attempts at systematisation of this problem and she tries to back up press news by scientific contents. To a greater degree she will try to focus on information aspects rather than legal-economical aspects. The problem of the electronic signature and its legalisation will be shown here as an indispensable element for making transactions on the Internet and as a way for still greater revival of the e-commerce.
