Abstrakty
Five types of activated carbons: WD-ekstra, DTO, AG-5, CWZ-22 and N-GII were used in the experiments. Investigations of the adsorptivity of these carbons towards aqueous solutions of THMs were undertaken. The adsorption isotherms may be described by Freundlich and Langmuir equations. On the basis of the isotherms the most efficient carbon for THMs removal was found. The BET specific surface area and pore size distributions were also determined.
