The development of Polish process CYCLOPOL for cyclohexanone synthesis by cyclohexane oxidation has been described. It has been shown that CYCLOPOL process differs very much from all other cyclohexane oxidation processes exploited in the world industry. Particularly in CYCLOPOL process the sodium hydroxide consumption can be decreased to 5 KGs per one ton of cyclohexanone while in other processes the standard value is 130 KGs. There is much less alkaline wastes, more pure organic wastes which can be used as fuel in usual boilers. The oxidation reactor is safer and cheaper. Cyclohexanone purity continuously reached in Polish plants is 99.96% while the world standard is 99.90%.
