Wire explosion in liquids results is produces stable metal colloids. The article presents a very effective and inexpensive I method of obtaining a sol of silver. The colloid thus produced is a bacteriostatic liquid which enables a reduction of bacteria by two-three orders of magnitude after 4 hrs, and 5-6 orders of magnitude after 24 hrs, and in case of E. Coli reduces their number to an unmeasurable value.
