Abstrakty
Within the confines of described work the structure of housing for surge arresters without gaps was carried out. This housing protects varistor stack against atmospheric agents (UV, moisture) and transfer the heat accumulated in varistor stack as a result of overvoltage. The materials for housing were selected and the optimal shape of external housing was carried out taking under consideration economic, thermal and insulating requirements. The goal of the work was successfully achieved and designed housing fulfils all requirements announced in the introduction of described work.
