Verification and application of Black's formula

Black's formula was verified in the topoclimate of fish ponds situated at Cieszyn Silesia on the basis of decade values of the solar duration and of density of the radiation flux obtained in years 1980-1994. Results confirmed the linear character of regression equations, however regression coefficients obtained were lower than those computed by other authors for the daily values. The verified Black's formula and sunshine duration was applied to calculate density of the radiation flux in years 1961-1995. The smoothed results pointed at a distinct decrease of the radiation flux at the end the seventies and beginning of the eighties. The whole period was characterised by the tendency of a slight increase, similar like in years 1961-1970, but the tendency of the distinct decrease appeared in 1971-1980 and of the distinct increase in 1981-1995.
