Analysis of pressure and temperaturę traces during stratified charge combustion in gasoline direct injection engine (GDIE)

A computational model of traces of pressure and temperature changes during stratified charge combustion in Gasoline Direct Injection Engine (GDIE) was proposed in this paper. Basing upon the algorithm and making use of the Wibe's function of combustion traces of pressures and temperatures for charges of different coefficients of air excess where presented in the first part of the paper. The results where presented in form of diagrams. In the second part of the paper use was made of the programme KIVA for computer simulation of combustion process. The simulation aimed at obtaining distribution of temperatures during combustion of stratified mixture. Results of these calculations where presented in graphical form.
