In this paper the results of photoacoustic studies concerning the influence of the wear [extent of the lubricating oils on their thermal parameters are presented and discussed Time dependent characteristics of the amplitude and phase of the photoacoustic (PA) signal as also their correlation as a function of the time of free flow of oil layers alongside the measuring membrane are presented. It was proved that the normal wear extent of oils which were measured was accompanied by approximately 30% increase of their thermal conductivity
