Regular trends of close to collinear light diffraction by ultrasound propagating in paratellurite single crystal are examined in the paper. Strong anisotropy of elastic properties of tellurium dioxide in the case of slow shear acoustic waves propagating in the plane (110) of the material provides flexibility in selection of acousto-optic interaction regimes that are promisign for applications ni tunable acousto-optic filters. The paper presents descriptions of novel modifications of collinear acousto-optic devices developed on base of the paratellurite single crystal. The cells of the collinear filters utilizing optic and acoustic reflection are described and advantages of the designed instruments are discussed in the presentation.
