W niniejszym artykule autorzy przedstawiają wyniki badań nad drenażem subglacjalnym lądolodu skandynawskiego podczas maksymalnego postoju w fazie poznańskiej i pomorskiej vistulianu w Polsce NW.
Here we present the results of research on subglacial drainage of Scandinavian Ice Sheet during Poznan and Pomeranian phases of Weichelian glaciation in NW Poland. On the basis of two- and three-dimensional numerical simulation of groundwater flow under the ice sheet it is suggested that a surplus of subglacial water at the ice-bed interface occurred. Only about 15–25% of subglacial water had been able to drain through the bed as groundwater. In steady-state simulations, this water penetrated the bed to the depth of approximately 220 m but often not exceeding the value of 100 m, and reached an average flow velocity of approximately 110 m/year.
