W referacie zostały opisane lokalne i międzynarodowe normy dotyczące ograniczenia emisji związków toksycznych w gazach spalinowych przez okrętowe silniki spalinowe. Przedstawiono także niektóre testy pomiarowe obowiązujące do odpowiednich norm.

The paper presents marinę diesel exhaust emission national and local legislations than german TA-Luft, Internationale Bodensee - Schiffahrtskommission, EURO and US legislation and international legislations than HELCOM and proposal MARPOL 73/78 part 6. Fig. l. present typical exhaust gaś composition from Iow speed Diesel engine Fig.2. present PM concentration in exhaust gaś 1L42MC engine. Fig.3. present ECE R49 test. Fig.4. present NOX limit curves proposed by EUROMOT and Japan. Fig.5. present engine emission level at 1992 compared with IMO limits and the CLEAN targets Fig.6. present speed dependent NOX limit curve of IMO. Conclusion: 1. In first order limited NOX and SOX emission. 2. Main problem in NOX reduction is fuel consumption and rise CO and HC emission (the 'Diesel dilemma' - conflict between optimising fuel consumption and NOX discharge). 3. Extant legistations than TA-Luft, US and EURO are adaptation of stationary and tractio engines legislation to marine conditions. 4. It can be take max. NOX emission 17g/kWh, max. contents sulphur in havy fuel 3% lower than 1,5% for special area. 5. The proposals of international legislations apply new vessels and newly install engines.
