he paper presents description of a one system multi-purpose electric locomotive, type 113E 111), which was commonly designed by AD tranz Switzerland (Zurich), AD tranz Germany 1), AD tranz Pafawag (Wrocław) and S Tabor (Poznań). Presented are the main technical data of the locomotive and described are the particular main systems as well as inical and electrical structural groups. Having the power rate of 6 MW and being able |srides with speeds up to 200 km/h, the locomotive is intended to haul the passenger and freight trains on the routes of the Polish Railways. First deliveries of the locomotives are scheduled for the year 1999.
