Abstrakty
Several trivalent rare earth complexes of the formula [LnCl2(dap)2]Cl 4H2O, where Ln = Y, La, Ce, Eu, Ho and Yb; dap = 2,6-diaminopyridine, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements and spectroscopic methods (IR, 1H-NMRand 13C-NMR). The spectral data show that the ligand coordinates to the metal ions through the pyridine and amino nitrogens.
