In this paper the results of measurements of the vibrations levels on buildings, generated by road traffic, have been described. The measurements points have been localized on the region of the capital town of Warsaw and in neighbouring towns. This results shown that: -in results, according to one-third octave analysis, dominating level of excitation is generated by means of heavy public transport, -the frequency characteristics of vibrations of those means are loca- ted mainly in lower acoustic band.
