Fluorine bomb calorimetry was applied for determination of the standard molar enthalpy of formation f m 0 H (InN, 298.15 K). The combustion reaction of InN with fluorine was following: InN(cr) + 3/2 F2(g) = InF3(s) + 1/2 N2(g). Standard molar enthalpy of formation f m 0 H (InN, 298.15 K) = -(146.5 š 4.6) kJ/mol has been calculated from the measured standard massic energy of reaction: delta cu(InN) = -(8396.1 š 7.6) J/g. Indium nitride was analysed for trace levels of metals and other elements.
