Brauhenefloroside C: A New Acylated Flavone Glycoside from the Fruits of Stocksia brauhica

Phytochemical investigations of the fruits of Stocksia brauhica (Sapindaceae) resulted in the isolation of a new acylated flavone glycoside. The structure of the new compound brauhenefloroside C (1) was established as 7-[(6-O-(2E-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)- 1-oxo-2-propenyl)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)]-(1_2)-[(6-deoxy- alfa-L-mannopyranosyl)]-( 1_3)-[(6-deoxy-alfa -L-mannopyranosyl]-oxy)-5-hydroxy-2-(4'-hydroxy-phenyl)- 4H-1-benzopyran. The structure elucidation of the new compound was based primarily on 1D and 2D NMR analysis, including COSY, 2D J-resolved, HMBC and HMQC correlations.
