Nucleophilic trifluoromethylation of aromatic aldehydes and ketones with trifluoromethyltrimethylsilane is initiated with KF/n-Bu3MeN+HSO4 /Ph3SnF cocatalytic system in CH2Cl2 or with K[Ph3SnF2] in DMF.
