Artykuł przedstawia zagadnienia związane z projektowaniem i wykonaniem modułu programowego przeznaczonego do diagnozowania i raportowania pracy segmentu sieci przemysłowej MODBUS. Dotyczy on takich problemów jak: wykorzystanie stacji kontrolno-nadzorczej KRONOS, analizę środowiska oprogramowania za pomocą metod formalnych, projekt, realizację oraz laboratoryjne badania pakietu.

This paper describes the method of development of tools which can be used in monitoring industry area network, which are applied in distributed control systems. The essential fact is that the software functions of the package are an element of the entire system of visualization, monitoring, control and regulation. It gives many possibilities of testing of the communication system, not only at the initial stage, but also in the process of normal exploatation. The operator of the system is able to force the exchange with any network user at any time. He is also able to evaluate the quality and the efficiency of the connection. This paper epresents also presented package in the element of the existing KRONOS system, which has been applied in numerous industrial installations.
