W referacie przedstawiono rolę i zadania inżynierów w kształtowaniu infrastruktury transportowej w Polsce. Podano etapy przygotowania inwestycji począwszy od studiów projektowych poprzez nadzór aż do realizacji. Zwrócono uwagę na rolę Inżyniera – Konsultanta oraz Inżyniera Kontraktu. Zaprezentowano najważniejsze inwestycje infrastrukturalne realizowane w Polsce w ostatnich latach podając nowatorski wkład polskich inżynierów w rozwiązania projektowe, materiałowe i konstrukcyjne.

The paper presents the role and responsibilities of engineers in the development of transport infrastructure in Poland. The stages of preparing the project from design studies through supervision until the implementation are presented. Attention was drawn to the role of the Engineer - Consultant and Contract Engineer. The paper also describes the most important infrastructure investments made in Poland in recent years, providing innovative contribution of Polish engineers in design solutions, materials and construction.
