Przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania emisji akustycznej (EA) do badania właściwości mechanicznych betonu. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań własnych, w których metodę emisji akustycznej zastosowano do określenia rysoodporności belek żelbetowych oraz do wyznaczenia obciążenia inicjującego rozwój szczeliny pierwotnej podczas badań odporności betonu na pękanie według II modelu. Artykuł przedstawia dotychczasowe osiągnięcia Katedry Konstrukcji Budowlanych Politechniki Rzeszowskiej z zakresu badań betonu z wykorzystaniem emisji akustycznej.

The usability of acoustic emission (AE) method in testing of mechanical properties of concrete are presented. In the publication the effect and the history of usage of acoustic emission are described there are also testing equipment and the equipment of strength testing stand shown in this paper. The results of one's own researches are presented, in which AE was used to determine reinforced concrete beam crack resistance and to calculate the propagation of elementary crack initiation force during toughness test of concrete (fracture mode II). Crack force was determined by two methods: AE and visual observation of the surface of the beam through the micrometer measuring magnifier. Conformity of results was good. During cube test of concrete AE method, among other things, can be also used in the elimination of defective specimen, which shown excessive acoustic activity from the test beginning. The results of these researches confirm the AE method usability during destructive and non-destructive tests of concrete. The range of investigations includes not only the testing of concrete as a structure material but also the testing of elements and constructions made of concrete. Such researches are being realised in the Department of Building Structures, Technical University of Rzeszów.
